BodyAwake® Yoga is an invitation for you to experience embodying your essence by strengthening the partnership between your mind, body and breath.
This means that in BodyAwake® Yoga you will use the breath mindfully to attend to your body as you move through a sequence of asanas or poses.

Yes, this really can work for you because the human body wants to be healthy, balanced and aligned with your spirit and mind.
Your body gives your mind clues to work with all the time regarding where it is out of balance through the language of bodily sensations such as heat, cold, tightness, soreness, achiness, heaviness, etc. These sensations are associated with energetic circuits that have been turned off or never activated. BodyAwake® Yoga shows you how to interpret this language, respond to these sensations and bring your circuits online. Doing this can change your life.
How is this accomplished?
With BodyAwake® Yoga we train your mind to listen to your body and to honor the sensations being experienced. The areas of tightness that limit you from being able to release into poses represent frontiers; the places you are being invited to live into more fully. Conscious breathing practices work to soften and melt these restricted areas. As you move into these areas of your body, they become more awakened and enlivened with your essence vibration.
The results are manifold — by releasing holding patterns, different facets of your consciousness are more fully embodied. As a result, you can more fully express your essential self and realize more of your potential in your daily life experiences.
BodyAwake® was created by Dr. Sue Morter. It is a Vinyasa style that draws from Bio-Energetic Medicine, Quantum Science and Eastern spiritual practices. The aim is to live fully in the body as one’s true, essential self.
